In July of 2002 we held our first official family reunion for the Don and Jean Schaaf family. The way it works with our family is the more the merrier so, of course we invited some additional family members to join us. We had an excellent turn out but the few who were unable to join us were in our thoughts and hearts throughout the week of events. As usual for the Schaaf clan we do things just a little different. Like the time we had a picnic complete with cooking hot-dogs over the campfire on New Years Day. That is the way we like it. For those of you who do not live in the Great Upper Peninsula of Michigan, it is a beautiful place with well over 300 inches of snow in the winter. It was a great New Years BBQ, complete with toboggans, snow mobiles and snowball fights. In following the unusual family traditions we decided to have Christmas in July for the theme of our reunion. Here are a few pictures we would like to share of our Forth of July celebration! Happy Holidays!!!
